HIGH END INNER-CITY APARTMENTS FUEL QUEENSLAND POPULATION BOOM

March, 2018

Queensland’s population has soared in the last two decades exceeding all other states in Australia, thanks to the state’s strong economic performance and employment opportunities.

Interstate and international migration has driven the boom, as investors head to Queensland to make the most of the state’s affordable housing, including high-quality inner-city apartments.

Queensland’s proportion of Australia’s total population has increased by 1.8 per cent from 1997 to 2017, and it is set to continue to 2031. Greater Brisbane, including suburbs like West End and South Brisbane are set to welcome nearly 55,000 people per annum over the next 13 years.

Generation Y (20-34yr) and Downsizer (45-74yr) residents are set to dominate this population boom, with both groups attracted by the opportunity to invest in low maintenance, high quality and stylish apartments, close to employment and lifestyle amenities.

The 4101 area will remain a hotspot, with unit prices remaining affordable.

Investors and owner occupiers are spoiled for choice across both suburbs with Pradella’s stunning developments providing the ease of low maintenance inner-city living with resort-style amenities including lush landscaped gardens and pools, all within walking distance of the city’s best restaurants, cafes and bars.
